    Now or Never

In partnership with the National Urban League, Morehouse School of Medicine will engage public, private, faith-based and philanthropic leaders in two regional summits focused on addressing mass incarceration of African American and Latino boys and men. Now or Never is a national campaign that seeks to increase awareness of high incarceration rates, develop a framework for reducing recidivism, encourage systemic changes to improve the quality of life, and establish strategies to interrupt the generational cycle of incarceration.

Objectives of these summits are to:

    • Increase awareness on mass incarceration and the effect on African American and Latino Boys and Men
    • Engagement and mobilization of the entire community to build bridges for those returning home
    • Prevent and reduce recidivism by developing a framework to include education, employment, and decision making skills for African American and Latino boys.
    • Eradicating the prison expressway
